Hurricane Matthew

October 6, 2016
Our missionary had quite the experience!
Hurricane Matthew roared through the Atlantic Ocean and up the East Coast.
It was one of the strongest storms in more than a decade.
Sabrina was in the Daytona Beach, FL area and was evacuated to Orlando area where they stayed with the temple president and his wife.
It was a scary time but we never felt worried for her.
We knew that the missionaries would be protected!

"I have never seen such damage before in my life... there aren't really
words to describe but I do have a few photos.. it has been such a
humbling experience to help the people here in Florida and to see
their expressions on their faces when we say we're doing it for free..
There is something so rewarding about giving service to those who are
in need. It is one of my favorite things to do and I love that it is a
way to introduce the gospel. As missionaries that is our focus.. to
bring people closer to their Savior Jesus Christ.. and what a perfect
way to do that when they need it the most." - Hermana Sabrina Guerrero

All the missionaries at the mission home prior to being evacuated.

Some of the damage from the hurricane.

Sisters...getting ready to work!

Our hearts hurt for the people of the East Coast.
Glad for all those that were protected during this time!
So thankful for Sabrina and her example to all of us!
