'Twas the Night before Christmas

The last 8 weekends have been jammed packed of soccer, dance, and a myriad of other responsibilities.  Allie and Grace were asked to dance in the "Twas the night before Christmas" performance that was going to be on Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving.  They had one performance Friday night and two on Saturday.  They rehearsed a lot and did an amazing job!
Allie was a toy soldier!

 and Gracie was a butterfly!

Our little cousin Abby was in the show also, she was a star! (Literally and figuratively)

Thanksgiving! and Thanksgiving Week Projects

It was so great to have my parents here for the week!'
We had a lot of fun celebrating birthdays and working on some projects.
The biggest project we worked on was adding board and batten to a wall in our family room.

The finished and decorated project!
We love it!
I finally made my XOXO sign that I have had letters for about 1 1/2 years!
I love it!

We made some cute place settings for Thanksgiving Dinner

and kinda made some turkey napkins

 Our beautiful table,
 and our turkey,
Sitting down for our dinner, feeling very thankful for my parents, my husband and my children!
Life can be hard sometimes but I treasure these moments when we are are all together!
We hit some shopping up later that night and took these two knuckleheads with us :)
We were able to get our tree during all of these activities as well,
for the purposes of remembering...this was the trip where Scott locked his keys in the back of his truck along with our tree.

 Even got it decorated!

We're ready for Christmas!!

CJ's Actual Birthday!

On Monday, November 24th we celebrate this guys actual 5th birthday!
He woke up and we surprised him with donuts on his birthday!
That afternoon he had his Stepping Stones Pre-School performance.  He was dressed as a pilgrim and sang some songs.  It was so cute and it was so fun to hear him singing the songs around the house all month.

CJ and his buddy Claire!
That night we had a birthday dinner for him.
He picked tri-tip and baked potato's.

 After dinner he opened presents.

He was pretty excited about these batting gloves!
 and about this money :)
So glad he's such a hugger!

Oh, we love this boy!
Happy birthday CJ!
