This is hilarious...

A first grade girl handed in the drawing below for her homework  assignment.

The  teacher graded it and the child brought it home.

She  returned to school the next day with the following note:

Dear  Ms. Davis,

I  want to be perfectly clear on my child's homework  illustration.
It is  NOT of me on a dance pole on a stage in a strip joint surrounded  by male customers with money.
I work  at Home Depot and had commented to my daughter how much money we  made in the recent snowstorm.
This  drawing is of me selling  a shovel.

Sincerely,

Mrs.  Harrington

Allie's Thoughts...

Allie says the funniest things...

"What would it be like to be a water fairy?", while watching a tinkerbell movie

"I look like George Washington"...while I was doing her hair
Me:  Why do you say that?
Allie:  Because when you comb my hair back like that - it makes it poofy and that is how George Washington's hair looks"
Me:  Hummm.....I guess she is right - hilarious!

This ain't no Bull...

A couple of weekends ago we enjoyed a lovely birthday party for our friend Peggy.  We went to Big Bubba's Barbeque so it was mandatory that we had to dress up...notice the flip flops, a true socal cowboy!

I rode the bull

Not so good -

Scott rode the bull

He did much better than me :)

The best picture of the night....our friend Peggy!
Happy Birthday Pegs!

It's beginning to look a lot like....

CHRISTMAS!!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Christmas!  The sights, sounds, and smells bring back a flood of happy memories and traditions that we love to carry on with our children.  Growing up we almost always went and got our tree the day after Thanksgiving.  We used to go and cut it ourselves at a local tree farm in San Diego.  Now we take the long journey to the local Home Depot and pick one out.  I used to have Scott open about 40+ trees to get the most perfect one, but this year was so cold that he only opened 3 before I was satisfied :)

Allie and Gracie decorating

The Girls

Needless to say, CJ was NO help decorating, he preferred un-decorating so Grandma tried to distract him with the piano...does it look like it worked - he has a death grip on the chair trying to escape

Gracie in her outfit of choice...putting on her ornaments

How can I get mad at this face?

Here's a lot of the nativites that I've collected over the years

Some more decor...

Feeling Very Thankful!

Every Thanksgiving I pause to think of the things that I am most
grateful for -
A husband - who loves to fish :)

Children who bring me joy, make me laugh and help me out

Parents who raised me right

Siblings who play a part in most of my memories

Nieces and nephews that never cooperate for family photos - awesome!

God's Amazing creations

Additionally, I thought I'd pay tribute to things that we take for granted -
that are less obvious, but so wonderful.

Gates
That keep very helpful little hands out of the Christmas Decorations and other things :)

Disneyland
It just makes me happy and I feel like a little kid everytime I go there

Food, especially Junk Food - All kinds!

Tutu's
They bring so much joy every "Dancing with the Stars" Season
For both the girls that wear them and the folks that watch them.

Free Babysitting
No Explanation Needed!

Honorable Mentions

Tweezers, Makeup and Hair Color
Steam Mop
Washer & Dryer
My DVR

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

Um....Problem....

PROBLEM...
This is what we turned around to find one day last week...

VERY ANNOYING AND UNATTRACTIVE SOLUTION...
This is the way I have to put the chairs after every meal...annoying to say the least - however, if it means no trips to the ER with a cracked skull - I'm all for that!

Happy Birthday CJ!

Here's our sweet boy on the morning of his 1st Birthday!  Love him...

We made him this cute "very hungry caterpillar" cake but it did not taste very good!

Time for presents....

He was more interested in climbing on them than actually opening them

My cute baby and I...

Sabrina trying to teach him what do do with presents

A little confused

Let's try this again

CJ with all his loot!
The kids playing with one of his new toys

CJ sitting on the new toy!

More interested in a five cent balloon than all his new things

Now standing on an empty box, why do we bother with birthday presents??
Just give them some empty boxes and a few balloons :)

All of us...the girls love their little guy

Love the look...what is going on?

Dig in CJ...Happy Birthday Baby Boy!
