 August is usually all about Allie! :)  

We love her and she loves San Diego...so she has NEVER spent her birthday anywhere else...

followed by Cali Cream for dessert!

 

We did have some others things we did in August though...

The kids started school..on August 13, 2020 - it was virtual (of course, due to COVID-19) but I insisted on a traditional back to school picture..

Everyone but Allie wore shoes for the pictures but immediately took them off and logged into zoom from home.

Grace - 7th Grade, First year of middle school

CJ - 5th Grade

I even started at work - with no kids there - it was so sad and so weird - we will see what this year holds!

On August 15 we headed to Avila Beach for one last "trip" with friends.

We made a weekend out of it - it was wonderful!

We stayed in a hotel with the Behan's and Peterson's for Friday and Saturday night and the Brown's drove over for the day on Saturday.

We are so thankful for GREAT friends...

We did A LOT of puzzles during Covid.

The girls did mutual - face painting on zoom.

On August 29, 2020 we took one last "tubing" trip to the lake with the Behan's.

Man...we LOVE summer!
